Name search

A person seeking to form a company shall ascertain whether a name is available for registration by submitting a Name Search together with the prescribed fee.

Re-registration

Section 303(9) of the Companies and Other Business Entities Act requires all registered companies to apply for re-registration under their existing name.

After name confirmation, submit the Memorandum and Articles of Association, Registered Office Address, list of Directors and Secretaries, and the prescribed fee within 30 days.

Annual return

The annual return of a company must be submitted within 21 days of the anniversary date of incorporation, registration or re-registration in terms of section 303.

The official home
of business in Zimbabwe.

The Companies and Intellectual Property Office of Zimbabwe (CIPZ) was established for the registration of Companies and Other Business Entities registrable under the Companies and Other Business Entities Act [Chapter 24:31].

CIPZ is currently located in Harare and Bulawayo. The office consists of a Chief Registrar of Companies and Other Business Entities, registrars, assistant registrars and other officers.
